You know, i have a funny feeling that this year
is not going to be as merry as we would like

it all lasted a few moments
the colours were nice
shades of blue holding shades of yellow
the reflections were nice
like supernovas in a summer sky
i was listening to 'Lovely day' by Withers
took the picture
thinking that it had to be a lovely day
i took the picture
the lights went out
the song ended
i walked into the tube
thinking how just a few seconds can change your day

and about time too

... my lazy self can't be bothered to get into the how's and the why's of how thic came to be, so, dear reader, you'll have to do a bit of reading yourself... it'll sans doute be more entertaining and certainly easier to understand than if made the effort...
it's worth the cause, and all true.

as you creep towards the top of the mountain the halo gets brighter and brighter
the time you spent in the shade has frozen you

and the sun smacks your face
a sudden thrust of energy scintilates across your body

forget the world and go

...and a happy new year

and so more resolutions
new hopes
new expectancies...

well fuck it

this year, i will call the continuation of my work in progress

last year's bet with myself was almost a good bet
there weren't too many scars
perhaps a couple of big deep ones
some have healed
some are healing

this year's silly bet took place on new year's eve
if it snowed the year would be a good one

by a good one, i mean a happy one

... it snowed
