that funny part of year when everybody buggers off on holiday. everything is so calm in the big city it feels so good.
but this year is no different dear reader. the holiday season begins tonight. it wasn't quite what i had planned a few months ago, [somewhere over the rainbow with super heroin(e)], but it'll do for the moment.
... a 3 week moment may seem long from now... but with enough wine, a moment is never long enough...
The logo of La Poste has become synonymous to total incompetence. The problem, is that this kind of public service has become a breeding ground to laziness, boredem, and professional ineffincency. A public service is by definition an action for somebody, and in this case the somebody is [It seems quite clearly stated] the public; and yet this service does everything for the public to avoid it. How can that be ? I mean the post used to be the best link between people, the postman, your friendly daily smile, the stamp a square inch universe that united millions of passionate geeky philatelists from around the world... and now, in front of you, from across the counter, you look into a pair of blurry eyes who tell you, even before you even open your mouth, to fuck off. Just for the personal note, i spent 30 minutes at the post office this morning for a 2 minute transaction that cost me 3,37 euros. I was very lucky in fact, because if it hadn't been for no less than 5 bored and angry customers, who apparently had better things to do than wait in line for a fucking stamp, i'd still be there... During the wait, i asked to see the manager who never came out of his hole. But then who would want to confront 25 people waiting in front of 3 desks.
Nuff said for now... the man below says it all better than me...
