one long ego trip

Bernard Pivot always submitted  his version of Proust's questionnaire at the end of his TV programme. Just for info, Proust's version was in fact imagined by Antoinette Faure who was at school with Proust. The questionnaire was made famous by the fact that Proust answered it.  It's here

sickness

i have a sore throat
each time i swallow it feels like barbed wire scraping down my throat

but what i like, what i love
is in the middle of the night,
the shivers that creep all of a sudden into your body
hot cold hot cold
heat but you shiver
you sweat but you're cold
you search for warmth
curl up into a feotal position

a hot bath
very hot
this condition strangely ignores heat
and as you slide into the hot water
you feel this incredible tingling inside you
the cold rushing around
looking to escape
a complete state of confusion in your body
take a deep breath and for a moment
this incredible comfort embraces you
and like heroin i've been told
and takes you away

one of those days

there are days like this,
when you want tranquility,
when you want peace,
when urban cohabitation is a complication unless you're left alone
when all you need is silence to be in your thoughts,
your music to be in your cocoon and that you don't bother anybody else but you
days like these are so simple to live, and yet the sightest slip brings theses delicate walls tumbling down.
FUCK
why do i have to endure the pretention of others, their obnoxionus presence
the agressive way seeing life, and their untolerable way of imposing their views.
it's all a load of fucking bollocks.
today i want peace
i don't want to fucking work
i don't want to do silly animated fucking logos that say nothing, mean nothing
i don't want to do silly advert pages
i don't want to make any amendments to other adverts
i don't want to face the same old faces again and again and again
the ME ME ME ME ME fucking sentences,
the I KNEW THAT ALL THE WAY reflex
and all the usless no end debates...
.... hang
.... over
i'm not in a bad mood
i swear i'm not
i feel good,
really i do.
i could just feel better if it weren't for the others

pathetic journalism

excerpt of an interview published in 20 minutes...
this shows the beneath the carpet level of journalism in this country.
selling the president & his new wife brings gold at the moment.
3 books are to be published on her subject.
one of them written by two authors who admit never having met her,
is purely based on gossip and trash media.
they are interviewed in the daily, and so i offer you a taste of useless bullshit.

year of the rat

Dawn
a new day
a new year
a new cycle
basically a new life,
time to begin new projects,
new adventures
time for renewal

i wish you, dear reader
that this year, be the starting point of so many great things
so much hapiness, so much sunshine

as seen in China

just a thought...
when a friend is down and has their back to the wall what do you do ?

i must admit, i'm really shitty in these situations.

how do you bring comfort without intuding into your friend's garden ?
how do you just bring comfort without going into charitable overkill ?
is it then best to say nothing ? and rot in silent shame ?

but yet life rolls on, so do we ignore the pain and grief and be a silent pillar,
or are we the field mole that will dig and dig deeper and deeper into the problem
to try and find solutions?

dear reader all i can say in the most humble honesty is that for those i love,
i give them all.
my shyness will always prevent me from forcing my way into the garden,
but ask, and i'll be there.
